We're doing a digital single with Minisnap from New Zealand
Minisnap features the songwriting skills of Kaye Woodward (vocals,
guitar) along with fellow members of ‘The Bats’ Paul Kean (bass, guitar) and
Malcolm Grant (drums) plus Marcus Winstanley from The Undercurrents on guitar.
The Single ‘New Broom’ is a perfect piece of pop, everything that’s great about Flying Nun,
full of light and air and brilliantly catchy. We love this song, and think more
people should hear it. So we’re helping out by putting their new album
‘Bounce Around’ featuring the single ‘New Broom’ in the shops…
We hope you like it too.
Minisnap are paying a flying visit to the UK and will play at The Windmill on
Friday 26th April.
Stolen at The Royal Albert Hall
The Elgin Room at The Royal Albert Hall is presenting a series of
nights called 'Hush', each one hosted by an independent record label.
The next one is hosted by us, Pete And The Pirates are playing along with Mathew
Sawyer and the Ghosts.
We also have our own stage at The Great Escape Festival in Brighton, all the bands on Stolen will be playing at Horatio's Bar on Brighton Pier, Saturday the 17th of May

Let's Wrestle 'I Won't Lie To You' is NME's Track of the week.....'Crashing about like Mark E Smith in the Sainsbury's booze aisle, it lasts a sweet 2 minutes 42 seconds; leaving you wanting more....North Londoners Let's Wrestle are a charming, funny and utterly real trio. If Eddie Argos suddenly found himself on Strictly Come Dancing he'd be doing his Cha Cha to this tune, mark our words.
Pete and the Pirates 'Knots' is also number 8 in the NME chart.

'Blue Birds Blood' by Mathew Sawyer and the Ghosts has made the Drowned in Sound's' top 50 albums of 2007. You can vote for MSATG' here
A reader-voted top ten will run the week beginning December 10, and one lucky voter will receive the DiS editorial team’s top 25 records of the year as a nifty prize.

Heres something Dazed wrote about Screaming Tea Party:
Screaming Tea Party are a band you're gonna think you discovered when you were 13. They pack in snippets of every record you've ever owned, and sound like a sloppy first kiss that precedes a punch in the teeth, without sounding dated or cliched. The 'Party are 2/3 Japanese to 1/3 Italian, and the 3-headed noise beast's songs range from sweet, fuzzy lo-fi (check out 'Death Egg'), to huge, Sonic Youth-esque metal monsters that'll make your skull rattle ('Between Air and Air'). Vocals are shared between the three, and flit between melodious mumbling and 'shit, I've lost my tonsils' screaming; the only way to be heard over guitars this loud.
Complex and simple, dirty but kind of sweet, we guarantee you'll be seeing (and hearing) a lot more of these guys. Their debut EP, 'Death Egg' is available now on shit-hot-label-of-the-moment, Stolen Recordings. We haven't heard anything this good since... well.. anything. Interview with Koichi here....
